Currently - President of the annual NPO FUKKO Concert in Brussels for the Japanese tsunami victims. Organiser of the 2016 major event for the 150th anniversary of Japan/Belgium diplomatic ties. Artistic director of the RESIDART Committee (Ancona, Italy) hosting artists and events. Organiser of violin masterclasses with Yuzuko Horigome (laureate Queen Elisabeth contest) and Rodney Friend (Konzertmeister NY Philarmonic and BBC Orchestra).

Annual collaboration and preparation of large choirs such as the Brussels Choral Society.

Guest conductor of orchestras around the world, such as Hungarian PO Budapest, National Orchestra of Mexico, Dubna SO in Moscow Russia, Yamagata SO in Japan, Tulsa SO in the USA, Deutsche Kammerakademie, Slovak Sinfonietta (2 European tours), PO Buenos Aires Argentina, Seoul PO South Korea, Shenzen SO China, star guest at Borobodur International Festival Indonesia, Sinfonica Giovanile del Piemonte Italia, Orquestra Filarmonica de Querétaro Mexico (4 concerts, 2017).

Director and Conductor of the ‘Charlemagne Orchestra for Europe’

Founded, developed and managed this symphony orchestra without any public subsidies for over 17 years with musicians from 27 countries covering the classical and romantic repertoires, as well as key contemporary works.

This role covered many artistic and business-related roles such corporate sponsorship negotiations, programme elaboration, musician auditioning and selection, financial management, and articulating the vision for an orchestra “owned” by a loyal public.

Professional violinist at the Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège (Belgium)

  • Degrees from the Conservatoires of Brussels and Antwerp for violin, harmony, history of music, theory of music and chamber music, which led to my appointment as a professional violinist.
  • Qualifications from the Brabant Conservatoire (Katholieke Leergangen Hogeschool, the Netherlands).
  • Orchestra Conductor studies at the Antwerp Conservatoire, the ‘Pierre Monteux School for Advanced Conductors’ and the Tanglewood Music Center for the Arts (USA). Conducting teachers: Charles Brück, Enrique Diemecke, Seiji Ozawa, Jorma Panual and under the personal tutoring of Lorin Maazel.
